Research & Writing

A recipe for researching a topic, organizing findings, and producing polished documentation.

Step 1: Define the Research Goal

Example Prompts

"I need to research authentication options for our API.
Help me think through what to consider."

"Create a project for researching cloud providers.
I need to compare AWS, GCP, and Azure for our use case."

What Chelle Does

  • Helps frame the research question
  • Creates a project or document to track findings
  • Suggests areas to investigate

Step 2: Capture Findings

Example Prompts

"Add to my cloud research: AWS has better ML services
but GCP pricing is more predictable for our scale."

"I found that JWT is the standard for API auth.
Add this to the authentication research with pros/cons."

"Create a comparison table for the three providers"

What Chelle Does

  • Appends findings to your research document
  • Organizes information into logical sections
  • Creates structured comparisons when asked

Step 3: Synthesize & Analyze

Example Prompts

"Summarize what I've learned about cloud providers"

"Based on my research, what would you recommend?"

"What gaps are in my authentication research?"

What Chelle Does

  • Reviews all captured findings
  • Identifies patterns and recommendations
  • Points out areas that need more investigation

Step 4: Produce Documentation

Example Prompts

"Write a recommendation document for cloud provider selection"

"Create an architecture decision record for choosing JWT auth"

"Draft a technical spec based on my research"

What Chelle Does

  • Creates polished documents in your Context Lake
  • Incorporates your research findings
  • Follows standard formats (ADRs, specs, etc.)

Tips

  • Capture as you go - Quick notes are better than nothing
  • Ask for structure - "Create an outline" before diving deep
  • Iterate on drafts - "Make this more concise" or "Add more detail"
  • Link sources - Reference where findings came from
