Sidebar Sessions
In Lake view, you can open a sidebar chat for quick, focused conversations about specific entities.
Opening the Sidebar
Click the chat icon in the Lake view header to open the sidebar. The sidebar attaches to whatever entity you're currently viewing.
Entity-Focused Chat
Sidebar sessions are tied to entities. When you ask a question in the sidebar while viewing a task, Chelle knows you're asking about that task.
This enables natural questions like:
- "What should I do next?"
- "Explain this section"
- "Add more detail about the requirements"
Selection Actions
Select text in an entity and click "Ask Claude" to get explanations or start a conversation about that specific content.
Other selection actions include:
- Explain - Get a plain-language explanation
- Expand - Add more detail to the selected text
- Simplify - Rewrite for clarity
Attaching Multiple Entities
You can attach additional entities to a sidebar session. This gives Chelle context from multiple sources for your questions.
Opening in Full Chat
If a sidebar conversation gets complex, click "Open in Chat" to continue in full Chat view with all the context preserved.
